Information about and Consent to the Collection, Processing and Use of Applicant Data
Many thanks for your application at Quisumbing Torres ("Firm"). This document sent via email provides you with information on how the Firm collects, processes and uses your personal data. The Firm kindly asks you to send your consent via reply email in order to consent to the collection, processing, usage, upload, and transfer of your personal data in connection with your application. Please be aware that if we do not receive your consent via reply email, we will be unable to process your personal data.
If you should have any complaint about the processing of your Applicant Data to the Firm, you may contact the HR and Administrative Manager, Oliva Urgel through her email address - oliva.urgel@quisumbingtorres.com. The Firm will investigate and attempt to resolve the complaint.
CONSENT TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
I have expressed interest in an employment position in Quisumbing Torres ("Firm") that is subject to the requirements of the Data Privacy Act of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other issuances of the National Privacy Commission (collectively, “Data Privacy Act”) pertaining to the processing of personal information.
I understand and acknowledge that the Firm holds personal information, including sensitive personal information (as such terms are defined by the Data Privacy Act), relating to its prospective employees (collectively, “Applicant Data”) in its capacity as prospective employer and in connection with the conduct of its services. The Firm, as prospective employer and data controller collects, processes and uses the following Applicant Data, among others, in connection with a job application: identification data (such as name, gender, civil status, sexual preferences, date and place of birth, citizenship, religious affiliations, description of physical characteristics, name and occupation of parents if provided by Applicant), contact details (such as home address, home phone number, mobile number, private email address), emergency contact details (person and contact information to be contacted in case of an emergency if provided by Applicant), educational background and professional experience (such as degrees, rankings, awards or achievements, diplomas, information on educational institutions and schools, language skills, other professional skills, publications, training certificates, extra curricular activities, licensure examinations, information on prior job history); references (such as prior employer, references at educational institutions or as otherwise provided by Applicant); certificates (such as copies of school and training certificates; copies of reference letters as provided by Applicants); interview notes including personal and professional information that will be shared during the interview; background checks; compensation and bonus information in present or previous employment; and other information contained in the CV/résumé.
I understand and acknowledge that the Firm may process my Applicant Data for the following purposes: evaluation and processing of applications for employment; compensation-related activities, compensation analysis and administration; HR reporting and documentation; monitoring and enforcing compliance with the Firm’s policies and procedures and with legal and regulatory requirements; protecting the security of Applicant Data as well as the Firm’s systems, property, and premises and completing any other purposes directly related to those listed above. Such information are confidential and retained by the Firm only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of these purposes, as well as for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, for other legitimate purposes, or as provided by law.
I acknowledge that I have the right to access and correct my Applicant Data in my personnel records, as well as the right to lodge a complaint before the National Privacy Commission in case of violation of my data privacy rights.
I agree that the Firm may share Applicant Data with companies that work for or with the Firm for the recruitment and evaluation of applicants for employment, provision of employee benefits, or administration of the Firm's records. Such companies are required to keep the Applicant Data provided to them confidential and to use the information only to provide the services or fulfil the responsibilities they have been engaged to perform. The Firm may also disclose Applicant Data as a consequence of a sale of the assets of the Firm, or in preparation for any of these events, and pursuant to laws, regulations, and court orders or subpoenas that may be received by the Firm.
I hereby acknowledge that I have been informed by the Firm of the Firm's use of my Applicant Data in accordance with relevant laws. I hereby expressly authorize the Firm to collect, process and transfer my Applicant Data that the Firm deems necessary in order to effectively and efficiently administer the employment and conduct its business, for as long as necessary to full the purposes of processing mentioned above.
